11/29/07 - Happy to report Ellie was adopted by the Day family of Atlanta. They lost their beardie 6 months ago shortly followed by their PBGV. They
were just waiting for the right pup to pop up on BONE. they drove up and spent a day with Ellie, fell in love and took her home. I couldn't
be happier about the match.
11/27/07 Original Story Ellie is an intrepid, but also innocent young fawn
neardie. This sweet girl narrowly escaped a rural
shelter with the help of several rescue organizations.
She quickly learned what a home, couch, and treats are
at her foster home in Louisville, KY. She was
adopted quickly in the summer of 2007 on July 6 (Who wouldn't
love such a shaggy pup?) and loved running and playing
on her new farm with her new mom. Nearly 5 months
after placement, Ellie was returned to foster care
this week for no fault of her own. I thought she would
enjoy the life of an inside dog with outside
privileges on a working farm, but it turns out that Ellie would
probably be more comfortable in the suburbs with a
yard, your bed, and plenty of toys. (like our home).

So, Ellie returned to her foster brothers and foster
family in Louisville and is now looking for a second
new home.
If you like kisses, Ellie will give you lots of
affection. You must also like toys because she plays
with her toys non-stop. (Kongs are the best!!) Ellie
is a complete joy to be around and she just loves
company. This year-old, 33-pound puppy has some
filling out to do. But in the meantime, we all get to
giggle when she trips over her tail or gets caught up
in her own legs. We are working on some basic
commands. (There's hope as she picked up a "sit" in a
matter of minutes.) We are still working on house
training and some basic discipline. She is just so
curious. (i.e. strangely attracted to, but also scared
of my printer). |
