Pogo in Florida
Has a Home

03/10/07 - Pogo has a new home in South Carolina. He enjoys daily walks, fetching sticks, romping in the yard, and attempts to herd squirrels and robins. The following is from his new family. "Pogo continues to bounce into the hearts of all visitors. He gives them a three-syllable woof and then, upon a proper introductions, dances on his hind legs, his soulful eyes twinkling and his great heart happily welcoming his admiring court. Many thanks to B.O.N.E. whose excellent network connected me to Pogo, thus blessing me with joy, humor, and love."

Original Story 01/23/07 - Pogo is a darling 8 month old Neardie who was turned in to the shelter by his owners. He is a light brown with black tipped ears, and soulful brown eyes. This poor boy was absolutely covered in fleas, so the first order of business was a flea bath. He was truly a gem! He just stood patiently with suds everywhere as he was bathed, rinsed, and then blow dried. He even gave his foster mom kisses of thanks when she was finished.

Pogo is a great alarm barker, but don’t count on him for protection. He is an “all bark and lots of kisses” kind of guy. Pogo is good with children and likes cats. His is housebroken and will be neutered on 1-24-07. He will also get his shots up to date at that time.

Pogo is very smart and learns quickly. He learned “sit” and “paw” (shake) in two days with just a little bit of work. He does need some work on walking nicely on a leash, which shouldn't take long because Pogo LOVES to please. He is playful (loves his green bunny toy) and just an all around fun boy.
