9/22/2006 - Gretchen was one of those shaggy dogs that just seem to be saying "I wanna be in pictures" Her star quality shone through even though she was being held at animal control. We had many wonderful homes wanting to make Gretchen their own.

However, one home seemed perfect for Gretchen: with a couple in Maryland who adopted Benson from us earlier this year (Feb 2006) and have been waiting for a female playmate. Gretchen (now called Daphne) will enjoy their huge fenced yard, long walks and weekend runs at a beach house. We're anxiously awaiting photos but wanted to share the good news.

8/17/2006 - Original Story: This beauty of a mix appears to be part Beardie and part Wheaten and part who-knows what. She is shown here in her 'before' picture, ie., still at the shelter. Even then we knew she was special. She is less than a year old, was unfortunately left alone in a home when her family moved.

We think she is a keeper! Housetrained, gentle and a little insecure, she is sure to come around with some of her foster Mom's confidence boosting ways.
