1/22/07 - Dakota Bear has a home. He is living like a King. Dakota Bear is Living in Delaware, right on the beach. Since he loves water this is a great home for him. He had a hard start in life, but now he's living large. Dakota Bear was my first foster dog. I am so happy that he has a great home, with a great new mommy. Trisha Meade. Dakota and her had a special bond the moment they met. Both are a great match for each other. Thank you to all the Bone Members for your kindness and help with Dakota Bear my first foster dog. Many stories shall come from this fuzzy boy. They said he was a Bearded Collie/Jack Russell Terrier Mix. But he is an 84 lb.. Boy, he looks more like a Bearded Collie Golden Retriever Mix. Dakoda is a neardie who is sweet and joyful he would love another home with a dog(s),Cat(s),or bird(s) He love everyone. he had a rough start in life. Let's begin. He is 1 1/2 year old neardie.

He was previously owned by a familywith several children.They thought since he had Jack Russell in him as well as the bearded collie that he may stay smaller?! Well he didn't, and he had alot of
energy and the kids had toys everywhere so he ate or chewed on them. Their solution was to take him to our Animal Rescue League. He was then adopted by a man and his wife, they though a dog could save their Marriage, well it didn't and back he went to the Animal Rescue League.

About one month into owning him he started to have seizures. They are now controlled with medication (not too expensive). He is an amazing dog. Very smart, super friendly with adults and children He is very active but I would not say hyper, smart and a little stubborn.

I think his stubbornness is more to test his owners and train them instead of the other way around. He really is such a clown he could be in television:) His spirit is down right now with all the changes. is neutered and up to date on all of his vaccines. He is also microchipped through the rescue league thus the need for them to transfer all info once a permanent and perfect home is found.
