Charlotte in North Carolina

Has a Home

10/19/2006 - Charlotte has moved from North Carolina to Michigan.  With lots of love and attention from her foster mom, Charlotte was transformed from an unresponsive to affectionate girl who is greatly loved by her new family.

Original Story 8/17/2006 - Charlotte is a happy girl, approximately 5 years old, who is thriving in her foster home.  She was pulled from the pound shortly before she was to be euthanized.  Charlotte  is current on shots, is spayed and has been medically cleared for placement.  She is a tall, leggy girl who is quite thin but is now on a good diet that will help her fill out.  When her foster mom lets her out, she does her business, and then runs back to mom, sits, and holds up her paw.  We think at one time she must have been a pet, with some training and manners.  In just a week she has begun to blossom.

She gets along with the other dogs in the home and generally ignores them after exchanging greetings.  She follows her foster mom around the yard, and  now barks and wiggle-waggles when she sees her mom come in.  She is laid back, rather than bouncy. Charlotte front

Charlotte keeps her run clean, so we think she is probably housebroken. She sleeps on a faux sheepskin rug and has not tried to chew it.  She also rides beautifully and jumps up into the crate in the van - she traveled halfway across the state to her foster home without making a sound.
