06/12/05 - I thought you might like some news about my new family.  My new mom and dad are Rob & Marilyn Spindler, and I have a brother named Boone.  Can you believe we live in Toronto, Canada?  My family wanted me so much that they flew down to Atlanta and rented a car to drive out to the farm where I was staying.  As soon as they came in the door they dropped to the floor and started hugging me!  They brought me a collar with my name and new phone number stitched right into it!  And they also brought me two very sharp looking scarves to wear.  See that scarf in the picture?  I think it makes me look so handsome.  My new folks even brought my bed with me!  My brother Boone and I go for walks every day.  I have a wonderful new family and home and Im so glad BONE put my picture up so they could find me.- Marty Spindler (neardie)

 

Original Story 4/9/05 - Hi, my name is Marty (the shelter called me Shaggy and you can call me whatever you like) and I was rescued on my last day at the shelter!  I'm a loveable guy who weighs about 48 lbs, gets along very well with other dogs, cats and even small kids.
I am very laid back and hardly ever bark ( and my foster mom's house is a busy place!).  I'm house trained and will whine a little when I need to go out.  I'm very sweet and just love people. I like to play but really just want to follow you around and wag my tail. The vet thinks I'm between 3 and 5 years old and I'm in fabulous health.

I'm neutered and up to date on all my shots and had a wonderful bath and grooming so I feel like a handsome guy!  I hope someone will fall in love with my big brown eyes and give me a forever home.  I'll be your best friend forever if you will give me a chance!
