Boone in Ohio
Has a Home

3/3/05 - Boone finally found his forever home. He deserves it, all the changes in his life were no fault of his....Good luck to Boone (now Chewie) and Sandy....who drove all the way fro NJ to OH in a snowstorm to get him.....Sounds like a great match.

Original Story 2/13/05 - Look at this gorgeous boy!   Boone's daddy passed away and his mommy couldn't keep him, so his aunt turned him over to BONE and asked us to find him a new home.  He's 4-5 years old and delightful.  We know he's part Beardie but the rest of the mix is unknown.  He has the soft double coat of a Beardie and moves like one when he runs or trots.  He is black and tan, with a bit of gray running through the black.

All I know about Boone is he started his life in IN. Because of the loss of a family member, he was placed with another familymember in WV...due to his high energy level his second owner asked BONE to help in finding him a home.

Boone seems to be housebroken so far, comes when he is called (within the confines of a fenced yard), and gives great kisses.  So far, he is doing well in his crate, so crating while you are not home should be fine. He does well with other dogs but will stand up for himself if challenged, so any doggie playmates should be submissive.  Not yet tested with children or cats.

Because of his size and playfulness, we recommend him for a home with a fenced yard and children over the age of 7.  His foster mom does not like to ship dogs, so a home within driving distance of Cleveland, Ohio is preferred.
