Benson in North Carolina
Needs a Home

02/10/06 - At long last, Benson has found his forever home.  This happy-go-lucky boy was picked up as a stray in Charlotte, NC and is now bringing joy to his new forever parents

in Maryland.  Benson loves lots of exercise and stimulation, and from the sounds of it, he has truly landed in Doggie Disneyworld.

A very contented looking Benson is shown here in his very own huge fenced yard ...which will soon be filled with agility equipment.  His Mom is voraciously reading agility books and can't wait to get him started.  If that isn't enough, he enjoys long walks with his Mom, playdates with other canines, games of catch with his Dad, and is even learning how to play soccer.

Benson doesn't know it yet but his forever parents also have a house at the beach which, they proudly claim  'they built for their dogs'.   Benson's new Mom works in a nursing home and is even thinking about pet therapy.  Looks like all this was certainly worth the long wait for Benson.  Thanks to his new forever parents for giving him so much love and such a great new life.

Previous Story 1/31/06 Benson is back.  He was adopted to a loving home but their personal circumstances changed and he needs a committed forever home.  What a charmer.  Great manners in the home, loves to play with other girl and boy dogs and loves stuffed animals.  We would like him to be in an active home with another dog and a fenced yard and owners who like to take long walks.  Benson is a cuddly, loving, handsome boy.  He could be part beardie, border collie or Portugese water dog.  Whatever he is, he has the gentle herding temperament and is about two years old.  Approximately 42 pounds.  His hair is as long as it will get, he won't be as shaggy as a full Beardie

Before on 04/23/05 we wrote: My personality is as cute as my picture! I am forty pounds and estimated at 1 year to 1.5 years old. I was homeless for quite some time, living off the kindness of strangers in a NC neighborhood--everyone thought I belonged to someone else--but eventually they figured it out and I wound up in Animal Control I am forty pounds, healthy and happy, easygoing and in love with life!

BONE folks gave me a surgery for my eyes, they had ingrown hairs but I am fine now. I love to run and play, love other dogs (especially the lady dogs) and lots of exercise is important to me. I am in love with my ball, if you will play fetch with me that would make my day.
