Has a Home

11/26/04 Oreo's Story:
Oreo went to his new home in Ann Arbor, MI, with his new Mom on Nov. 26.  Lori is a very active lady who owns her own business & her dogs are her greeters; she also has 2 Shitzus, but has wanted a "big" dog for a long time.  Oreo's new name is Dakota & he has met his match with Lori, as she is at least as active as he is & her first report was that she took him everywhere with her & completely wore him out.  As his foster mom, I would not have thought that was possible!!!  She has already signed him up for obedience classes, which he needs.  She is thrilled with his easy-going temperament, too & it would be hard to find a more loving dog than Oreo/Dakota.  A very happy ending for all concerned!

Original Story 11/13/04 - Oreo is a Beardie/Briard mix, & you can see from his pictures how cute he is.  His temperament matches his looks, too - he's extremely gentle, loves attention & hasn't met a person or dog he doesn't like.  He's 4 years old & was surrendered by his family because they are moving & can't take him with them.  He's up-to-date on all his shots, neutered, heartworm negative, & he weighs 47 lbs.

You can see he's been very well cared for!  He's very playful & rambunctious; you would never guess he's 4 years old & not a puppy.  He's housebroken, but has had very little training, so he needs some obedience work.  Oreo Sitting
Oreo Face A fenced yard is highly recommended for this boy, as he loves to run & play & would probably just keep right on going without a fence to contain him.  He's definitely an indoor dog & his manners are pretty good.  I suspect he would give chase to cats - I don't have any, so that's just my own belief.
