.4/30/04 - Katie is in her new home with Pamela Andrews. Pam also owns a Beardie boy . She had been on our waiting list a couple of years. Here is her note:

"just a note..picked up Katie last night..she is a lovely sweet dog..she gets on very well with my beardie..they are very playful together. She went to the groomers today and experienced the dreaded "hair dryer" but she looks wonderful in her new doo and her new kerchief around her neck.. then we stopped off at Pet Supplies plus for our new collar and leash..and then got our doggie license shaped like a hydrant.. Very productive day..for a very tired little girl.. Thanks.. Pam"

Original story 4/28/04 - Katie was observed as being in an animal control shelter. But when we called the shelter they said she was gone. Something seemed odd, so we continued to follow up. Another rescue, JRT, was given the same story with a rescue they wanted to pick up. So Cheryl Farner from JRT rescue decided to go look. She found both dogs still at the shelter. Cheryl, knowing we were still trying to find Katie, picked up both dogs and gave us a call. It turned out Cheryl;s vet was where Carol Carlsen worked, so Carol being a member of BCCA and GLBCC agreed to arrange to take care of Katie's vet needs with Katie while I looked for a home. We really appreciate both Cheryl and Carol's assistance.
