Barney in Illinois
Barney Front
Has a Home

.2/16/04 Barney has gone to his new home in Rockford, IL & has a new name; "Jingles"! His new family has 2 darling girls, 6 1/2 & 8, & it was love at first sight when they came to meet him. His new mom works in the same law office as Ann Dittmar, who adopted "Sadie" from BONE rescue last Fall & Ann had Kerry watching the website for new additions.

Barney/Jingles is larger than Sadie, but just as sweet & loving & Kerry reports that all is going very well. The girls have made a bed for Jingles in their room & a second one downstairs on the main floor for when they are in school. Jingles will be very pampered in his new home & certainly deserves it; there is no doubt he will return the love he gets tenfold.

Original Story 2/9/04 - Barney is a Briard/Beardie mix, mostly black with a gray undercoat & legs, & a small white streak decorates his chest. He's around 2 years old & was picked up as a stray.

How anyone could let this boy go is a mystery, as he is very friendly, very affectionate, & so far, very quiet! He is housebroken & crate-trained, though he doesn't like being crated & would rather be with you. He also has nice manners & sits on command; we are working on getting him to come when called, since he has to learn a new name. Barney in Illinois

He gets along very well with our 5 dogs & the shelter said he didn't mind the shelter cats that hung around his kennel, so he's very easy-going. Barney is Beardie size & shape & weighs 41 lbs - he's actually a bit smaller than our two beardie boys.

Barney is heartworm negative & has had his first shots - he's also tested clean for worms.
