Snoball (now Otis) in Illinois
Has a Home

Snoball, now known as Otis, went to his forever home on January 1, 2004 & what a great way for him to start the new year! His new family already has 3 other dogs & live in a rural area on 22 acres in WI, & Otis has fit right in. Otis is afraid of men, since he was abused by one, but his new Dad is retired & has made it his mission to win him over. This wasn't much of a mission, as he accomplished this goal in about 3 days! They report that Otis has gone from being a fairly shy dog to being more outgoing & playful in just a few days, so clearly he knows he's in his forever home.

After fostering him for just 10 days, it was hard to give this boy up - I've never met a sweeter, gentler dog - amazing, given his history of abuse. - Mary Barthold

Original Story 11/14/03 - Snoball is a 7 year young male Beardie/Sheepdog mix. He has had a rough life. He is such a sweet dog although he was abused at one point in his life by a man and therefore has a fear of men. Snoball does not bite but does shy away from men.

All he needs is a family to love him and teach him that not all men are bad. He is neutered, up to date on all his shots and will be going to the vet for a check up soon. Snoball is housebroken, loves children, get along great with other dogs and even likes cats. He looks to be about 50 lbs, but will know for sure after his vet visit.
