Dewey New Jersey
Has a Home

6-30-03 Having had the little guy for over a month now I can't see passing him on to a new home. He's definitely grown on all of us and even managed to get our grouchy neardie Henry to play with him. He also has some temperament issues that may him harder to place but he fits in well with us and we know his quirks. Jim

Original Story 5/26/03 - Dewey's days were numbered at the high-kill shelter in NNJ so he was pulled. Dewey is 4-5 years old, 50 lbs, fixed, and all white. While at the shelter he was a big shaggy mess and there was some confusion as to what he was. Shelter workers thought Beardie/Poodle mix. The vet thought OES/Poodle mix. Regardless, he was just a shaggy white dog with a big heart.

He was pulled, taken to the vet where he got his shots and clean bill of health. Then the next day taken to be groomed. His coat was full of mats and had to go. Well under all the fur, and seeing as the groomer gave him basically a poodle cut, he now looks very poodle/something mix.
He's a good guy who gets along great with other dogs. Even though he was on the streets and in the shelter for a month, he was definately someones pet at sometime. This guy knows sit, down and paw (both infact). Appears to be housetrained. Walks well on the leash. Not much of barker. Gets along great with other dogs. Loves nothing more than to play with toys, gnaw on bones, try and engage the other dogs in play and get belly rubs.
