| Sarah is a small, she was about 10 months old Beardie/Neardie when
adopted. She was turned into the vet (who is the president of the Hattiesburg
Ms. Humane Society) by her elderly owner in the hopes that the vet could
find a home for her. She was about 7 months old at the time.
She stayed at the vet's office for about 1 1/2 months and then was placed
into the shelter. There she captured all the
workers hearts and, even though this is a kill shelter, she was never in danger of being put down. She spent all day every day during office hours in the director's office loose playing with other puppies. She was in the shelter for about another 1 1/2 months. I found her by accident by calling the wrong shelter to check up on another possible Beardie. After picking her up, she stayed at my house for 10 days for evaluation and until her new family could be identified and they could get her. A very nice couple who drove to South Louisiana from Northern Illinois to pick her up. She is now part of the Linda & John (Jack) Rounds family of South Beloit, Ill. She was adopted on April 21, 2000. Gordon Fitzgerald. |
