When he heard that Sam's time was up at the local shelter, Joe Hodges rushed down and snatched him from 'the needle' with only 2 hours to spare. Working with our BONE volunteers, Joe found Sam a wonderful home with children and a nice yard to play in. Sam now has the security of a good home, and Joe has our many, many thanks. The rescue was coordinated after BCCA rescue, Wade Pelton, informed BONE about Sam. BCCA generously supplied a list of potential homes with applications oin the area. BONE member Judy Barnett contacted the homes. Joe Hodges, who is a Beardie Owner and friend of BCCA rescue rep Wade Pelton anxiously jumped in and helped by fostering and making the transfer to the new home once arranged.
