1/8/02 Roxy has a home. Laura Cancino
and her family in Stow, Ohio adopted my favorite little girl, Roxy.
They originally came to meet my other foster, Charlie. But Laura took
one look at the scared little puppy huddled on the couch and exclaimed
"Oh, what a darling little dog!" It was love at first sight.
Laura has a degree in Zoology, works for the Cleveland Zoo, and is currently
studying for her Master's Degree in Animal Behavior. She and her husband
are experienced with many kinds of animals and are up to the challenge
of Roxy's training and socialization. They feel they can give her the
loving home that she deserves. They also have a beautiful 15 month old
daughter, Asis, who is being brought up to love and respect animals
of all kinds. Their home includes a 6 year old male hound mix, 2 guinea
pigs, and 1 hamster -- all rescues. So little Roxy will have lots of
company.
I know Laura and her family will give our little girl the best possible
home where she can feel secure and loved and will never be afraid again.
| Roxy was back 12/23/01
- she really does need a special home thta is understanding and
will take some time getting to know her. She has come along with
her foster for example, but given only one day in the first home
that "tried" - whcih is not enough time - she is shy.
Could you be the home Roxy needs? read on. Original Story 10/21/01
- Roxy, her mother, and her littermates were found running loose
in the woods in southern Ohio. Her mother is a Bearded Collie and
her father ???. Little Roxy is around 10 months old, 30#, spayed,
black and white, and adorable. She is probably mixed with terrier?.
She is afraid of most humans and will shy away, but is a happy playful
puppy when you earn her trust. We are currently working on socializing
her and hope to find her a 'forever' home soon. She is fostered
in Cleveland, Ohio. |
