Originaly posted 4/23/02 - Puppies: 2 Merle boys, 2 black boys and 2 brown girls. Half Beardie (other half unknown) Born April 11, 2002. On the 23 March, we rescued Q from a kill shelter. I was planning on fostering her and she does appear to be Beardie. Since the shelter was out of town they did us a favor a let us have her with the promise that we would get her fixed. I discovered she was ~40 days pregnant (vet x-rayed) and it would endanger Q to take the pups.

Puppies will be ready to go to their new Homes on 6 June, 2002.

Quincy
She is the first born and smallest - for that Mom Q thanks her. Quincy is brown with a slightly darker muzzle. She has a great tail wag and attentive personality. She will come wagging her tail when called. She is very alert, very active and very confident. She likes to play and likes attention.

Adoption Pending

Quasi Aussie
He is a blue merle color with a blue right eye - very Australian Shepherd in appearance. Can you imagine the herding instinct this guy may have. He was the second born but the first out of the whelping box and the first to growl. He likes to play and enjoys being cuddled. He is the largest pup.

Quinine
She is solid taupe with a dark muzzle. She is one mellow girl. She will let you place her on her back and just look at you with her dark eyes. She enjoys curling up in a lap but can growl with the best of them. She is just behind Quincy with her confidence and tail wagging. She is a little chow hound and will continue eating when the others are playing. She does not mind spending time by herself.

Don Quixote
He has an absolutely adorable face with one blue eye. He has spots of black and brown and appears to be partly Australian Shepherd. He was the first to look around and check out what's going on and the last to nap. He was the one that kept climbing out of the whelping box, a very determined little guy. Yes, he is the one who caused the gate to go up. He definitely will not be ignored. He is an active guy and definitely the most vocal.

Adoption Pending

Q-tip
He is predominantly black with just a little white on the tip of his tail, a white mark over each eye, four white feet and white on his tummy and chest. He is playful and inquisitive and likes attention. He is thinner then Quinn and may be a little taller. His hair is smoother then Quinn.

Adoption Pending
Quinn
He is marked very similar to Q-tip with a thin white stripe on his muzzle. He likes to cuddle and play. His fur is longer than
Q-tip. This little guy is trying very hard to be a Beardie. He is a little shy and tentative in new situations but gaining confidence. He is the last to get his teeth but this has not hampered his chow time activities.

Mom Q is about 14 months old, weights about 52 lbs. and overall very calm about everything that has happened to her. Q shows no aggression toward the other female adult dog, Ki, even with the pups, herds Ki and wants whatever Ki has but waits for Ki to leave it. Q wants to be the center of attention and pushes her way in. At present her play drive is low keyed but this may change once the pups are weaned. She does give good hugs and is full of Beardie Bounces. Q is a quick learner with a mild stubborn streak. Q is a happy girl who has never met a stranger. is a good mom without being obsessive and lets anyone handle her babies. Contact info below:
