Molly in Tennesee
Has a Home

Molly was placed April 16 2002 with Rob & Melissa Willette or Racine, WI..

Original Story 3/31/02:

Molly (was Mopsy at the shelter)

Est. size/color: 50 lbs./22in.; black, white markings on chin/chest/feet/tail some gray on back/brown on back legs

Molly was dumped two weeks ago on the grounds of a kill shelter in Bowling Green, KY. Judy Barnette found out about her and contacted us. We picked her up 3/30/02.

We can tell you this much so far: Molly had a good trip home and is just starting to adjust. She has been very sweet and good with our other dogs (we have two). She has a wonderful and mellow attitude with us and with our two girls (11 and 21). She seems comfortable jumping up on the furniture which we don't mind (we keep things covered) but also could be broken with a little training. She seems to startle a little stronger than we consider normal when we give her a firm "NO" which may be a sign of some past physical strong-arming, but in general seems to be stable and loving.

She was spayed Wed. (3/27/02) and is getting stitches out next Wed. We took her to our vet today and she was judged in good health and her heartworm test is negative. We started her on Heartgard and Frontline. She is due for some more shots on April 17. She is eating well, so far.

Molly does not seem to be totally housebroken so we're working on that. We took a nap this afternoon and she settled down in a crate next to us with no problems. She later went into the crate independently for a little while.

She's a sweet little girl (one year old approx.) and should make a wonderful pet. We are really enjoying her!
