Jasmine - NY

when at the shelter

Has a Home

9/01/01 Jasmine is now living in rural new jersey. She has a border collie-mix (also a rescue) brother and a nice fenced in yard to run. She has adjusted quickly to her new home and seems like the happy dog she was meant to be

8/22/01 Jasmine is a 6 year old spayed Neardie who lost her home when her elderly owner died. After being left alone at her home and cared for by a neighbor for weeks, she ended up in a high kill animal shelter in New York. The stay at the shelter took its toll on poor Jasmine who was left in her cage for weeks, not even being let out for walks or to relieve herself. The shelter workers were under the mistaken belief that she was aggressive, when in reality she was terrified at the shelter, and crouched in the back of her cage shaking in fear.

After a terrifying few weeks there, she was rescued by a BONE representative. Not much was known about Jasmine until her foster home took her in. We now know that this sweet dog is housebroken, loves to play with other dogs, loves people, and has a very bright personality. She loves to have her tummy rubbed, and she adores being brushed. Due to her stay in the shelter, and someone's rather poor attempt to cut the mats from her coat, Jasmine lost some of her Beardie coat features. However, in time her coat will grow back and she will be as pretty as ever. Jasmine loves long walks and is learning how to properly behave on a leash. In fact, there isn't anything negative we can say about this dog!

Anyone looking for a lovely companion Neardie will not go wrong with this dog. Please contact Jim at James951@aol.com
