Gully in North Carolina

Has a Home

11/30/02 - We had two wonderful ladies from Columbia, MD. who came down to South Carolina to get Gully. They lost their neardie in August and needed another special dog. We fostered Gully for a month. He was a big puppy who weighed 64 pounds when we got him from the Charlotte pound. He did not know what a lead was or that people were not his own jumping tree. This was our first foster so both Gully and we learned a lot. I am sure Mary Campbell will keep us updated with Gully's new moms. The neat thing is that Mary's roommate, Jane, will be home with Gully during the day. Their dog was a 60+ pound neardie, so they were not afraid of his size. Gully gave me a beardie kiss as we put him in the car.

Original Story 10/24/02: Gully was just saved from the pound. His photos don’t do him justice as he is a carmel and black shaggy boy with beautiful dark brown eyes.

He’s over 60 pounds and is estimated to be between a year and two years. He’s very loving, friendly, energetic and would probably be a great playmate for another dog. He may be too strong and energetic for young children and cats. Gully does NOT like being left in the yard alone and will bark to be with you, but he is quiet and happy when left in the house. He just wants to be part of a family. Loves to give Beardie kisses. Very smart. He is being fostered in NC.
