| Cooper II was know as Clay. He went with his new family August
6,2000. The family (Yanulavich) had recently lost their best friend
of 14 years, who happened to be similar in size and appearance to Cooper
II (Clay). They drove all the way from Alabama to Indianapolis to
pick him up.
Steve Abbott was our real hero for this one. Once contacted by Glenn Short, Steve did not hesitate to drive an hour each way to get Cooper, then arranged all his vet care, neutering, and even fostered him a couple days. Then thanked us for the experience. Marilynn Snook kept in close contact with Steve and walked him through the BONE adoption contract. Original description 8/01/00 follows:
He is very sweet. Seems to be great with people. And is not afraid of other dogs, just seems to be interested in them He will greet you, then sit and wait for attention and a scratch behind the ears. He is healthy and is getting new vaccinations. he needs to be neutered. Clay came to the Clay County Humane Society in Indiana and had been listed as an OES mix. As you can see - he is a small Beardie mix. Steve, who picked him up at the shelter, would swear he is pure beardie except for the size.
