Has a Home

8/24/02 - There is a perfect home out there for every dog. For Charlie, the third time was the charm. Charlie played too rough for small dogs and young children, and was returned to his foster home twice. He needed a family who understood dogs and who was willing to spend the time to train him. Ron and Laurel Richey from Illinois have given him such a wonderful home. Charlie and his beardie sister, Rags, even have matching bandanas. He is doing well in obedience school, and loves playing with all his new toys. It took him a while to conquer his fear of stairs, but he doesn't even think about it any more. Charlie is very much loved, and it sounds like he has finally found his forever home. He is a very lucky boy to have found such a great family. Just look at the smile on his face!

Original Story 12/30/01 - Charlie is about 50# and I would approximate his age at 18-24 months. He is extremely affectionate and seems to be housebroken, but is not trained otherwise. I believe he would be easy to train because he is very attentive. He gets along fine with my cats and dogs. He isn't tested yet with children. He will be going to the vet later this week for vaccinations and neutering. He looks healthy with a nice thick coat, though it isn't as long as a purebred beardie's coat. His tail was at one time broken; it has a 90 degree bend in it, but that doesn't prevent him from wagging it. He had been adopted 1/19, and is said to be a good dog, but played too hard with elderly small dog the family had. So he was returned 3/10. He is housebroken, neutered, and up to date on all shots. Very loving and a cuddle bug..
