Brooks in Georga
Has a Home
|
12/10/01 Brooks will be going to live with a rescue beardie brother, two cats, and the resident beardie patriarch just after Christmas - her Christmas wish for her very own forever family has been granted. Fred, Carol, Bailey, McGyver and the cats are looking forward to their new family member. Original Story 10/21/01: NOTE: Much of Books Medical cost were covered by donations. Thank you all! Brooks is a 1-yr old, female, fawn neardie who loves to snuggle
and has a wonderful playful personality . She gets along well with other
dogs; not sure about cats. Brooks is recovering from neck injuries suffered
because someone tied her outside when she was a young pup and never
bothered to change her collar as she got bigger. She's underweight and
she's really enjoying all the extra goodies she's getting to fatten
her up. A thorough vet check has brought her current on her shots but
revealed a "positive" for heartworms. She has started treatment
for this and her prognosis is excellent. She will be spayed after her
heartworm treatment is complete. After a really rough start, Brooks
is ready to get on with life and is looking for just the right forever
family to spend it with ! Brooks is quite a girl - just enjoying being a puppy in a safe environment
and having a ball with all the dog toys. Good, friendly disposition,
very curious about everything, gets along well with our three girls. Carolyn Savage twcasavage@mindspring.com
