Blue in North Carolina
Has a Home

02/15/02 - Rich and Jane Weaver and Jack, as he will be known from this day forth, hit it off instantly. They are a loving couple who are unfazed by his size, his strength and his terrible fear of vets (the shelter confirmed that he was handled cruelly by previous vets ) Rich and Jane arrived with a trunkful of goodies including bottled water for the ride home and a red bandana that looked great against his black and white coat. He jumped into the car onto his brand new leopard quilt as if to say, “I’m home” Thanks to all the great families who wanted Blue---we know that there’s a perfect Neardie in your future too!

Original Story 02/12/02: This is BLUE, who we believe is a Beardie/Australian Shepherd mix. He is a big boy, weighing 53 pounds at only 7 months. He was adopted from a shelter in Boone, NC to a family that put him in the yard and never brought him inside from the time he was five weeks old. He was returned at six months, somewhat shy due to having things thrown at him by neighborhood children. He is a supersmart, superloving dog that has had all medical, including neutering. What he needs most is human contact and attention, which he craves. And a little obedience training to so he doesn’t jump in greeting or pull on a leash. He also needs plenty of exercise as he is tireless on walks.
