10/00-01Motion to amend SR 10/84-03 as follows:Annually, the BCCA Board shall appoint an Auditing Committee to examine the Treasurer's books and make a formal report to the membership.The committee shall consist of one Board Member other than the Treasurer, and two members from the general membership.The Audit Committing shall be appointed in May, and its report shall be given at the September Board meeting.The committee may hire the services of an independent party to review the books and assist the committee in preparing its report to the BCCA Board.Such independent party shall be an accounting and auditing firm or an individual accountant who is a Certified Public Accountant.The Board will approve the independent party and the proposed fee prior to the party being engaged.(Marple)

Discussion:[Proposed changes in italics and underlined.]Addition of the word "only" at the beginning of the sentence and changing the word "a" to the word "any" before the words "Versatility Award" clarifies the original intent of the 05/95-01 amendment as reflected in the Discussion attendant to that amendment which states - "This proposed change will not penalize Beardies that may already have HCs . . . but it will eventually make herding consistent with conformation, obedience, tracking, and agility by recognizing only AKC titles."
