Your BCCA Herding Committee has reviewed many different Herding Instinct Test forms and will now be using the downloadable new HIC Form and the Sponsor and Judging rules. These are to be used on a voluntary basis beginning in May, 2008 and are mandatory beginning January 1, 2009. Please read everything carefully and contact either Herding Co-Chair if you have questions or need further instructions. The special value of the new HIC Test Form is that your Herding Committee will now be able to do a statistical analysis of the progress in the breed as to its herding abilities over time.

If you are planning to attend either an AHBA or AKC Herding Instinct Test, please download the information sheets and the new form for the Judge's use. You should inform the Sponsor of your intent to use the new form in addition to the form used by those organizations. The BCCA Form should be done in at least duplicate as you should keep the copy and either you or the Sponsor send in the original to the Herding Committee Statistician, Marilynn Snook, along with all other required items.

We know this will take some adjustment, and will be happy to help you at any time.
